ING’s Corporate Sector Lending team in Belgium is a 25 colleagues’ strong team which provides made-to-measure lending solutions to ING’s corporate clients (ranging from Revolving Credit Facilities, Term Loans to Bridge Facilities and Underwritings) across a wide number of sectors
based in Belgium. The team is located in Brussels and covers corporate clients with + €1bn turnover across Belgium.

Background:

ING Wholesales Banking aims to become the best Wholesale Bank in Europe. In that perspective, our aim is to be at forefront of advising and supporting our clients in their (complex) financing needs. Lead lending is at the core of ING’s growth strategy and therefore we look for a Senior VP/Director Corporate Lending ready to help us reaching our strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

•You take the lead in the lending dialogue, acting as a true deal driver with strong commercial instincts. You focus on fee generation, deliver robust deal structures, and bring a clear eagerness to successfully close deals.
•You cultivate outstanding relationshipswith all stakeholders—clients, relationship managers, product specialists, risk mandate holders, legal partners.
•You apply deep sector insight and structuring expertise to proactively pitch optimal financing solutions—well before an opportunity formally arises—positioning yourself as a trusted strategic advisor to our clients.
•You strengthen and expand strategic relationships with Belgian corporate clients and their executive leadership, building long-term partnerships.
•You take full ownership of the structuring process: drafting/negotiating Term Sheets, navigating GLC and credit committee negotiations, and steering loan documentation discussions with consistency, clarity and confidence.
•You work side-by-side with an Analyst or Associate, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing, ongoing coaching, and mutual support—while benefiting from an enthusiastic and ambitious team around you.
•You collaborate seamlessly across the broader lending and advisory ecosystem, partnering with teams such as Loan Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, Corporate Finance, and Financial Markets on complex or multi-product transactions.

Requisiti :

Who are we looking for?

•Over 8 years of expertise in Corporate lending, Capital structuring, Loan Syndicate, Debt/Corporate Finance Advisory, or Senior Banking.
•A proven origination track record, consistently leading transactions as deal captain.
•A strong commercial mindset, paired with excellent communication and presentation skills that allow you to influence stakeholders and win client trust.
•A relentless deal-closing ambition—you thrive on momentum, celebrate wins, and are always ready for the next opportunity.
•Deep financial expertise, including advanced financial analysis, enabling you to structure transactions on a solid analytical foundation.
•A collaborative, empowering leadership style, contributing to a strong team culture by coaching, supporting, and elevating colleagues.
•Language excellence: full fluency in Dutch and English, with proficiency in French considered a valuable advantage.
